Springtime

It seems to officially be springtime here and the weather has been beautiful this week. After torrential rains over the weekend, we have had 80 degree weather all week. Yesterday, the temp reached 90 and the boys decided that it was time to be in their bathing suits. Since their Mommy assured them that it was still too cold for full blown pool action, we settled on sprinklers. They had so much fun and it made me look forward to the summer!

After they played, they each had a snack. I went into the kitchen to get them both a drink and watched them out the windows. It was the cutest sight... they pulled these chairs out of the garage and sat down to have a conversation. I don't know what on earth they were talking about, but they were having the best time! It was so cute and it made me so thankful for their brotherly bond of friendship. I hope they will always love each other deeply and be best buddies!

Meet Baby...

Profile Shot

BOY Jones! We are so excited to find out that we are going to have another Jones boy! He is healthy and weighing in at 14 ounces so far! N is very excited and has only talked about having another brother from the beginning. M doesn't quite understand yet, but I am positive will be an excellent big brother! We feel so blessed to be having 3 little boys! Thankfully, I will not have to change the name of the blog!

I guess I will always be the Queen of this castle!

Here is our first glimpse of those sweet little feet... looks like a Jones to me!:
He's waving to say Hello!
When J and I saw these long legs and feet, we knew it was a boy. They just didn't look dainty to me!

To celebrate our new boy, we had an All boy party with balloons and boy cupcakes! Thankfully, Mommy got a cupcake too! The boys are so excited about their new baby brother and it was a fun memory to share with them. N even looked at the pictures and could pick out hands and feet.

Egg Hunt

The rain finally cleared up enough for us to have an Easter egg hunt in our front yard. The Easter bunny brought the boys some really tacky Spiderman t-shirts (I'm going to have to have a talk with him! ), so of course that is what they wanted to wear and being that the ground was still wet and muddy... I had no objections! Our friend Caroline came over for lunch with her parents and we had such a nice visit. We have been blessed with some special friends here which is nice since we do not have any family.

M was saying in this picture: "Hmmmm, where eggs?"

He is Risen!

Easter morning began quite early this morning as we had to wake up the boys for early church. The boys each got wonderful surprises from the Easter bunny including some new crocs, some games, candy, tacky spiderman t-shirts, and some new sand toys. N hopped out of bed really quickly and was eager to get his loot, but M was a slow riser. He enjoys his beauty sleep! They were very excited once they each woke up and were real troopers about playing with all of their new stuff and then having to get ready for church.
After church we attempted to take some pictures, but it was pouring rain outside so we couldn't do any in the yard. M was in an "I don't want my picture taken and I am not going to smile no matter how goofy you act" kind of mood!:

Daddy and his Mini Me!:
M finally cooperated enough to take a few pictures (although he still would not smile!)

This picture is for my mother who has been asking me for weeks to post a picture of myself pregnant! I had planned on wearing something more in tune with all of my boys' outfits, but I had what we now call a "wardrobe malfunction" this morning!

Egg Dying

The boys and I decided to dye eggs this afternoon and while I am sure I will look back on these types of experiences with much love and nostalgia, I have to admit the whole thing stressed me out! I had so much "help" that I didn't know what to do with myself. M kept trying to dye his fingers while learning his colors. N wanted to create new colors by mixing the colors or moving them while I wasn't looking. This is not even counting the fact that you are working with eggs in the first place and it is very hard to explain to little boys that while they look like balls, they will crack if you drop them too hard into the bowls!
Overall, the two positive points of the activity is that N and M really enjoyed it which did make me very happy...and secondly, the fan helped eliminate the horrid smell that boiled eggs make!

Easter Goodies

The boys and Baby Jones all received Easter packages from Jean Mommy and Papa today. Inside were Easter movies, spiderman goggles, candy, and puzzles. The boys were so excited opening the presents and wanted to watch their movies right away. N helped me open up the present for Baby Jones and it was a new bib and really soft green blanket. He really got a kick out of opening up something for the new baby. Thank you Jean Mommy and Papa for such fabulous treats! (Mind you, we opened up presents right after breakfast, so excuse the bed heads !)
M has a new fascination lately in putting on Mommy or Daddy's shoes. He was mesmirized with his Easter video while in my flip-flops. He wouldn't take the goggles off!

Another Hunt

M had his Easter egg hunt at school today and had the best time. He was so excited and didn't get nearly as many eggs as he could have because each time he would get one, he would run over to me and exclaim, "Mommy, more eggs!" He was so proud of himself! M has had the cutest little "class" this year with really sweet teachers. I was really happy that I got to go to his hunt! It was a treat for me to get to attend an egg hunt with each of my boys. We are praying for good weather on Sunday so we will be able to do a big one all together!

Easter Egg Hunts

N did not have an Easter egg hunt at his school so I took him to one at the church today. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera! Thankfully, I had a friend who shot a few pictures, but not nearly as many as I would have liked! We had a fun Mommy and son outing anyway and got to eat lunch, decorate easter cookies, and have a hunt. The girl in charge of the hunt instructed the older kids not to get too many eggs so that the little kids would get some. I told N not to get too many and said, "Maybe about 6 or so..." Well, about halfway through the hunt, N came up to me and said, "Otay, Mommy. I am done. I have six eggs in my basket!" What an obedient little boy. Thankfully, he got to go back and get some more, but we were all amazed by his little attitude! He was sweet when we got home about sharing all of his chocolate candy with his brother!

Nascar

J received free tickets to the Nascar race on Saturday. Thankfully, Julie agreed to keep the kids, so we invited 2 other couples and went off to the races. Not being a fan of racing, I was not sure what to expect, but we had a great time! It was so nice to get away and have some adult time with friends. Plus, I think the fact that the free tickets also included free seating and delicious free food also helped the experience! I am not sure that I would have liked it quite so much if I had been sitting out in the sun smelling gasoline and listening to roaring engines!

Early Easter

A box came for the boys today from Gracie and Bob-O and it had lots of early Easter goodies in it! Gracie said to let them go ahead and open it, so tonight after baths they tore into everything. They got some new short/short-sleeved superman pajamas, some spiderman underoos, some Easter books, and some candy. They were so excited and put on the clothes immediately... and then, of course, a costume change was just around the corner and they put on the other pajamas.

Thank you Gracie and Bob-O for the wonderful gifts! The boys love them and we are enjoying reading the Easter books!
