To Infinity and Beyond!

N has discovered Buzz Lightyear. I have to admit, it has been a nice change of pace. We even have succeeded in getting them to wear other pajamas since the Spidey/Super obsession seems to be lessening a little. We got him the movie Toy Story a few weeks ago and he loves the characters now. His favorite thing to do lately is to jump off the furniture with his arms out and yell "To Imfimity ayund beyon!" M of course wants to join in the fun... although he doesn't understand the concept, jumping off anything to M is a great idea! He's a little daredevil! N and M even convinced Daddy to join in one night and Daddy flew them around the room after they jumped. I love watching them all play together! I think it is one of the greatest joys of being a mother to watch your children mimick and want to play with their Daddy!

Sandbox

Daddy made the dreams of 2 little boys complete this past weekend when he filled their sandbox with fresh sand. . . They can't seem to stay out of it! It is amazing the difference between boys and girls. My boys go straight into the dirt, pour it all over themselves and each other and sit in it forever! They have so much fun and then want to come inside and get it all over the house right after I have swept and/or mopped... Oh well! They love it so much that I love to watch them in it and will just deal with the added housework. I have nothing else to do anyway, right?

The funny thing is that N will come inside complaining that his hands are dirty. I guess the sand all in his hair, covering his body, and in his pants doesn't bother him... but, we can't have dirty hands now can we?

Happy Easter!

We have had a fun filled Easter weekend! Friday, Daddy was off and we had a lot of family time outside working in the yard and spending time together enjoying the gorgeous weather. That night, we went to some friends house for dinner and some socializing. We went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a local church yesterday and although we missed the actual hunt, we got to see a lot of animals at the petting zoo and the boys got to play on a jump house/slide. This morning, we went to early church and Sunday School and then came home to find out that the Easter Bunny had visited our house while we were gone! The boys were so thrilled and had a lot of fun surveying their goodies!

After lunch, Daddy went and hid eggs and the boys had an Easter Egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and both of the boys actually understood what to do this year. They were really sweet with each other and did not fight for the eggs. Of course, afterwards when I tried to get pictures of them with their treasures, all I could get were "mouth full" pictures. Oh well... Happy Easter!

Picture shy

N is going through a picture shy phase. Lately, I have to catch him off guard to get a cute shot. Sometimes, he'll cooperate because he either wants something or he's having a good time and not thinking about it! Yesterday, M was asleep and we were having some one on one time and I got out my camera... This is what I got:

However, later we were dying Easter eggs and singing and dancing and I caught him!:

More Family Fun

Even though we were in Georgia under sad circumstances, we did have the benefit of spending a lot of time with family and friends. Here are a few more pictures from our trip...
We had the chance to spend a lot of time with Uncle Jamie who was also home for a while... The boys always have a great time with him!

Every morning when the boys would wake up, they wanted to sit on Bob-O's big chair together with their blankets and drink their milk. It was a cute routine! I like this picture because it really shows their "morning" personalities. M wakes up happy most of the time and N... well, he's like his mommy... we're not know for our winning morning personalities!

N had a great time out in Hatchechubee, AL playing on the 4-wheeler with Uncle Jamie! They rode around the rodes very slowly, but N had a wonderful time anyway!

Here are the boys with my sweet friend Kaci's boys Wilson and Woodruff... We always get together and play when we go to Georgia!

Georgia Bound

We had a VERY unexpected trip home over the past 2 weeks to see Pop who has been very sick since he fell on Christmas Day. We literally packed up the car in 1 hour when we got the phone call that he was not doing well. Thankfully, he made a turn for the better while we were in town and we got to have a lot of quality time with family. It was truly a blessing to get to spend so much time with him!
While we were home, we also got to spend a lot of time with friends and other family. We had a lot of fun and the boys had lots of adventures. Spring is such a fun time and the boys really got to explore the woods a lot around Gracie and Bob-O's house! They got very muddy which resulted in a lot of baths...

Firemen

Gracie and Bob-O took N and M to see Uncle Jamie's friend Gordy who is a fireman at the fireststion. I did not go on the trip, but according to my parents, the boys were absolute mutes while they were there and acted very shy. However, when I saw them N told me all about the firetruck, hoses, ladders, etc... Evidently, he took it all in!

Later, while they were outside they pretended to be firemen with the garden hose and their push firetruck. They were so cute and M of course copied everything N did!

Little Chefs

I have created 2 little adorable overly helpful kitchen monsters... I thought it would be cute to let the boys assist me when I cook sometimes. The problem is that now they want to help me ALL the time! This has created a mess because I am constantly either having to monitor them and cook at the same time or tell them that they cannot help which creates a lot of drama!

While we were in GA, we went with Aunt Jill, Aunt Julie, Jean Mommy and all of our cousins to Krispy Kreem which was a huge treat! N got a chef's hat and the next day wanted to wear it to make some sugar cookies with Gracie. The result was fun, but a big mess and probably more stress than is supposed to be involved with making cookies. N is pretty obedient and follows directions, but M is another story! He means well, he just doesn't quite understand it all yet! He is N's shadow and thinks he is almost 4 also!
