Funny bathtime habit

I know that one day, J is going to kill me for these pictures... (Sorry, buddy!), but I couldn't resist sharing his funny bathtime quirk. He holds his feet up in the air! I have never seen another baby do this, so I had to take some pictures. He loves bathtime... He doesn't cry and seems to enjoy himself, he just prefers to keep his feet up in the air. He must have some really strong ab muscles!

Dr.'s orders

J is really getting the hang of this baby food stuff, but we realized it was causing him to have some issues...

Veggies!

We tried some veggies this week. We started with squash which seems to have been met with little excitement, but he's not spitting it out either! Just like any other baby, J makes a mess and I think more of the squash was around him than actually in him, but it is a start!

What is this stuff?

I am not sure if I like it...

I do like it. Give me more! ( I think he really just wanted to

play in it, but hey... I was happy to have a smile!)

Feet

J has discovered his feet! He is constantly trying to chew on them and put them in his mouth.

He also seems to be much more observant of objects. He tries to grab and hold his toys and his pacifier. He follows things around the room. We have noticed a big change in how much he seems to be able to see over the past week.

Meanwhile, his brothers are still crazy about him. I am so proud of them! They have been so wonderful and not jealous at all. It has been challenging to have a new baby in the winter with 2 other little ones because we just can't get out and do a lot of things. The big boys have been so understanding of this and been real troopers! I think we have probably watched way too much t.v. this winter, hopefully they will not be permanently scarred!

Cereal and fruit!

J has been eating cereal and some fruit and is doing really well with it. I don't remember the other boys liking cereal very much, but J eats it up! A sweet friend of mine let me borrow her Bumbo chair and J loves to sit in it and look around. It is the funniest thing!

My Birthday!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday this weekend with all of "my boys!" Daddy was out of town at a meeting on my actual birthday, so we celebrated on Sunday. He had ordered me a cake and we had a nice time spending the day together as a family. Poor Daddy had a cold, but he was a trooper!

Baby J - 20 weeks

J went for his 4 month checkup this morning even though he is really 20 weeks. It is hard to believe that he is already 5 months old! He is growing so much and the time is going by so quickly! He weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and is 25.5 inches long. He was in teh 60th percentile for weight and the 75th for height.

He is still a very happy baby, very content, and very smiley. He has laughed a few times and has become a little ticklish. He rolled from his back to his front for the first time this week and of course, I missed it! I put him on his playmat and when I came back in the room, he was on his tummy. He is teething and chewing on everything in sight, mainly his fists. He loves those things!!!
