Marshmellow sandwiches!

The boys roasted marshmellows and made smores one evening and it was a huge hit. M just loved burning the marshmellows and then threw them in the woods. N however, ate his weight in "Marshmellow Sandwiches" as he called them. Since he doesn't like chocolate, he just ate the marshmellow and graham crackers. He enjoyed wearing it also!
I just couldn't resist!

Fun with the Holland Boys!

We got together with my dear friend, Kaci today and her three boys. Her youngest is just a few weeks older than J. It was chaotic, but very fun with 6 boys under the age of 6!!!
It only took a few minutes for a wrestling match to begin. Thankfully, it was all in good fun and noone got hurt. Boys will be boys!

Baby J and Baby W... so cute!!!

Aquarium

We went to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta with my parents and it was amazing! The boys loved it! They got to touch several different animals and it was so neat to be in a glass walkway with sharks and fish swimming all around you! It was a wonderful experience and has opened a whole new interest with the boys about animals and fish.

The boys touched stingrays, anemones, starfish, and shrimp. They had small sharks that I touched which they thought was "supa bwave" of their Mom!

Special time with Daddy

J has to go back to Texas for work, so the boys and I are staying in Georgia for a few extra days and then headed to the beach. We are going to miss him terribly! The boys are crazy about their Daddy and I am so blessed to have a husband who is equally crazy about his boys! They have so much fun together and he really makes an effort to spend time with them and play.

M and J's birthday 2010!

We spent M and Daddy's birthday this year in Georgia. The day began with Birthday doughnuts:

Then, later, we went to visit Monniemoo. Isn't she the most beautiful great grandmother you have ever seen? I hope my boys will get her "youthful" genes!

That evening, we had dinner with Gracie and Bob-O followed by birthday cake. M had already opened his presents at his party and a few on N's birthday, but he did not seem to mind at all! He had a fun birthday. The boys got Daddy a new light saber from N and M who insisted he needed one so that they could have battles!

This is my favorite pic of the birthday boys! It just captures their "mischevious" personalities!

I love this picture too. N is so expressive and detailed when he tells you something. He always has a new idea and a plan. He is in constant "imagination" mode!

Soccer party

A family on N's soccer team hosted our end of the year party at their river cabin. The kids all had a blast and they were really appreciative of J and his coaching. It was a lot of fun!

9 months old!

J is definitely mobile now. He is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, putting EVERYthing in his mouth, and basically exploring his new world. He loves to play peek -a-boo. He is very smiley and happy (unless he is hungry, and then he is a starving piglet!) He is interested in baby toys a little, but mainly curious about what his big brothers play with. His favorite thing to do is pull up in front of our big windows that go across the back wall of the libing room and watch Lucy. He will slap his hands on the glass and loves to look outside.

We put up J's baby swing this weekend and he loves it! He LOVES to go high and fast and just cackles! What a happy boy!

Happy Mother's Day!

I feel so blessed to be a mother. I have a wonderful husband and three wonderful, healthy boys. I also have a wonderful mother, mother in law, and grandmother-in-law who love their Lord Jesus and have each taught me so much about how to be a Godly mother, wife, and woman. I still have so much to learn and so much work to do, but what a gift to have such positive "Mother" role models in my life! I have always wanted to stay home with my children and I am living that dream. Being a mother is the most wonderfully rewarding job in the world!

Thank you Lord for all of my blessings!

Happy Mother's Day!

Bowling Party!

The boys had a fun bowling birthday party Saturday. They invited friends from school and church and the kids had a lot of fun. N and M loved it, had yummy cake and ice cream, and opened presents. It was a great day! We are so blessed to have made such wonderful friends here!

Going Fishin!

To cap off a fabulous birthday afternoon, the boys wanted to go fishing. Uncle Jamie had given them fishing poles for a present and they were ready to test them out! We took them to our friends' house that has a community lake that the neighborhood can use. The boys got excited when we let them ride down the street in the back of the truck!
M caught the first fish! Here he is timidly holding his prize!

Daddy's catch of the day!
After that, it was N's show. The big 6 year old caught 5 fish! (He says, he caught "like a hundwed!")
The bigger boys we were with thought N and M's batman fishing poles were "cute." However, since N and M were the only ones catching fish, they started asking if they could borrow their poles. N thought that was "supa cool!"

This is a frameable!
