Gracie and Bob-O Visit

Gracie and Bob-O came for the week and had a great time with the boys. We went to the zoo, they braved Chuck-e-Cheese and played outside a lot! Daddy and I got to go on a few dates and run errands together. It was a nice break (and I hate to admit it... needed break) for me!

6 months old!

Hard to believe little man is 6 months old today! He is attempting to sit up, but still a little wobbly! He has one tooth on the bottom. Poor thing has been battling a thrush rash on his cheeks and under his neck, but it hasn't dampened his mood at all!

Happy Half Birthday!

N Valentine's Party

My Valentine!
N had a Valentine's party at school today. He made a shoebox for his cards and passed out Transformer valentine's. Guess who picked those out? :-)
This is N's best buddy, Reed. They are adorable together. N says that "Reed is my berry bestest fwiend!"

Snow Days!

Around here, a few snowflakes make the day for these three little boys. Two days of snow that actually sticks and accumulates is like heaven! On Thursday, we started to see a few flakes. The boys were so excited that they immediately went outside and built this pitiful little snowman: (It is about the size of a basketball!)
By that night, this was the view out my front door:
And on Friday morning, we woke up to a Winter Wonderland!
We had no electricity or heat, but we had beautiful snow! We played outside all morning with our neighbors. One of the neighbors had gas heat, so he made me some coffee which was wonderful! We built tons of snowmen and had a great time! That afternoon, Daddy came home early and had a humongous snowball fight with the boys!

Our snowman that day (which N named John and M called Frosty) was a little more magnificent than the day before!

Even baby J enjoyed the beautiful snow from his warm and toasty stroller!

Look Mom... No Training Wheels!

We have been talking to N about taking his training wheels off of his bike for a few months, but he has shown no interest. His answer has always been, "Maybe when I am six." We were fine with that until all of a sudden this weekend N told Daddy he wanted to take them off. I was on my way out the door to go to the grocery store, so Daddy said he would take them off and help N learn a little. I had only been gone a few minutes when I got the phone call. "If you want to see this, you better get home. N is riding without training wheels and doing great!" Of course, I hurried home and N is already a pro. He didn't fall once! H had a minor collision with the basketball goal, but other than that, he is doing great! We went to the store and got a new helmet and pads and of course we had to get M a set too. I was a little surprised that M didn't want to take his off as well, but he seems perfectly content with his training wheels still intact. We are so proud of N! What a big boy!

5 months

Here is an updated picture of my happy boy! He has recently started getting in the johnny jump up and the exer-saucer and is getting the hang of them. He is happy and content most of the time as long as we are in the same room with him. He doesn't like us to leave him... I guess being the youngest, he is used to noise and chaos! His hair has fallen out on the sides a lot and he is sporting a mohawk for the time being. He is a wonderful baby!
