Dress Up

Ever since he was a baby, N has loved to dress up. Well, M is following in his brother's footsteps and it has so funny to watch the two of them. N has gone through the football stage, the baseball stage, the superman stage (seen below... this was 2 weeks ago).

The latest seems to be fluxuating between Spiderman and Cowboys. They are so cute together as they get into character! The spider and super stages are hard because there really aren't many age approptiate toys for them to enjoy. The movies are too violent and even the cartoons are above their level, but they have a great time "swooshing" through the house and climbing the furniture in their play room. N pretends to "swoosh" of buildings and climb up building and M walks around holding out his wrists and making noises as he pretends to shoot webs! The other day, they both were in major Spiderman mode and I took a few pics that I just had to post. I bought these masks in the party section at N's favorite store (The Red Store) for $1.50/4 and it has been a great investment!

It has been great on these cold rainy days to have all these tacky pajamas... The only bad thing is that I have to wash them all the time and practically peel them off of them when we want to go out in public!

Stir Crazy

I must confess that I am going a little stir crazy. We stayed home Monday as it was a holiday and relaxed with Daddy. Yesterday, N's MMO program was closed for a teacher work day and I did not realize all of this until the last minute. We were supposed to have Bible study yesterday, but when I called, our church's nursery was already full so we did not get to go. (I usually only take M with me and N goes to school.) Today, (again) it is rainy and very cold and I am a little antsy... We have played outside all bundled up, (this only lasted a few minutes because it was just too cold.) We have played cowboys which was great fun, we have colored and painted, we have played with trains and watched a little bit of television. We did go to the post office and then stopped at a bakery and each had a sweet treat which was fun!... All of this, and it is only noon. Also, did I mention that M has a cold and now we are not supposed to give them any medication at all?

Snow Day!

We had our first (and probably only) snow day on Friday. Of course, it did not stick except for a little bit on the rooftops, but it was still neat for the boys to see. If you look very closely, you can see a snowflake in the picture above. It kind of looks like a white spot where my camera messed up! We bundled up and went outside to catch a few snowflakes. N really wanted to build a snowman, but I told him that unfortunately, that probably was just not going to happen!

Little prayers

N always has really cute prayers at night. It is always funny to hear what he thinks of. Consistently, however, he remembers to pray for his Uncle Jamie and asks God to "keep him safe." No matter what he prays for, he never forgets to pray for his Uncle... (this is without prompting from me.)
Well, Jamie came home safe and sound last Thursday and we were all very excited... except for the fact that we missed him by a few days while we were at my parent's house for the holidays! Oh well!
I told N that Uncle Jamie was home and that God had answered his prayers. That night, when we prayed (again, without my prompting), N prayed "De-ya God, tank you dat my Uncle Vamie is home and dat you keeped him safe. Now, he back home in Vorgia (Georgia) wif Gwacie and Bob-O and Mannie (their dog) and dem all so happy!"
Yes, we are all so happy!
